Harry Maguire speaking to TNT Sports, “We have found ourselves in a difficult position this year. Coming into the game we knew it was a big game and we had to change our home form around.”
Bruno Fernandes talking to TNT Sports, “You could feel in moments that it is not working but for some reason the manager wants us to do that”
It was a chaotic five goal thriller.
Reaction will follow.
United hold on and get the job done.
It was not the most vintage display from Amorim’s side but they did well to claim the result with just ten men for the whole of the second half.
Ipswich could have got more from the night but this result does not help their survival efforts.

Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof will play the final moments.
Zirkzee and Yoro are taken off by Amorim in a move to run down the clock.
There will be four additional minutes.
There is still time for this game to change.
Lenny Yoro delays the restart and becomes the latest United player to be entered into the referee’s book.
Now entering the final few minutes and McKenna’s team are still behind.
Ipswich have not been second best and a draw would be a fairer result.
Despite the difficult situation they have been in, United still hold the lead and Amorim will hope that his side can claim all three points.
It has all kicked off a bit.
Liam Delap squares up to Manuel Ugarte before Mazraoui gets involved. Cards are shown to Delap and Mazraoui.
Another double change for the visitors as Leif Davies and Axel Tuanzebe are taken off.
George Hirst and Ben Johnson will look to change the match in the closing stages for Ipswich.
Just fifteen minutes to go now and there could still be another twist in this game.
Ipswich continue to push for an equaliser as United’s legs look to be tiring. The Tractor Boys will not give this up.
United’s number nine is brought off and a defensive midfielder is sent on in his place.
Amorim sends Casemiro on for Hojlund.
Hutchinson has gone down injured and will now be replaced by Nathan Broadhead. A shame for Hutchinson who has looked great tonight.
Morsy is also substituted for Jack Taylor.
Zirkzee is United’s third player to be shown a card this evening.
The Dutchman lets his frustration get the better of him and sees yellow as a result.
The Tractor Boys have the man advantage and they are looking to utilise it as they push for an equaliser.
It will be a long half an hour for the hosts if they look to sit in and defend their lead. United may also struggle to keep Ipswich out given their tendency to make errors at the back.
There has been a hat trick of goals from set-pieces for United today.
The scoreline makes the Reds’ attackers look much better than they have been. United may have scored three goals tonight but they have still struggled to create chances in open play.

Ipswich took the lead after another slow start from the Reds which is becoming characteristic of United under Amorim.
Despite this United turned things around in just four minutes and looked comfortable with a 2-1 lead. This was until a red card for Dorgu once again flipped the game on its head.
Ipswich have equalised and will have a man advantage for the entirety of the second half.
