Live updates as Man Utd host Wolves in the Premier League.
Amorim on whether any players will be back against Leeds: “I don’t know, I have to check. I’m not going to risk anyone, to lose them for one month or two months.
“We will try to invent solutions. Again, let’s see, and we will try to win the next one with no risks for the players.”
Ruben Amorim says injuries are the key factor behind his side’s struggles against Wolves, and is confident things will get better.
“I’m really confident. We just need to recover all the players and I’m really confident.
“I don’t know what is going to happen until the end of the season but I’m really confident when we recover all the players that we are going to be a strong team.
“There is no doubt in my mind.”
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Ruben Amorim says his side had a lack of fluidity in attack.
“We struggled in all the game,” he said. “We had a lack of creation but we already knew it would be a different game to Newcastle. We had a different energy during the game.
“Looking at the 90 minutes we had our chances but the fluidity offensively wasn’t there. There is a lack of connections at the moment.”
Boos ring around Old Trafford as the referee blows the full-time whistle. A dismal result for United and Amorim, bringing 2025 to a fittingly disappointing end.
Wolves pick up just their third point of the season. Still an awfully long way from having any thoughts of survival, but at least it is a step in the right direction.
Strand Larsen pulls down Cunha as he looks to breakaway after the Wolves corner.
The Norwegian is shown a yellow card.
Arias is replaced by Wolfe in the final moments.
The visitors are preparing to take a corner.
A United corner comes out to Fletcher on the edge.
The youngster strikes it but it is wild and off target.
Five minutes of time have been added on.
However, at least two more can be expected after a lengthy VAR check on the disallowed goal.
Dorgu turns the ball in and Old Trafford erupts thinking United have won, but the flag goes up for offside.
It’s another chance for Sesko whose tame effort is palmed out to Dorgu to turn home. However, Dorgu was offside when Sesko shot and it will not count.
Lopez is on to replace Hwang, who has gone down with cramp and cannot continue.
Still an opportunity for both sides to claim all three points here.
Another Sesko header is caught by Sa.
Frustration continuing to grow around Old Trafford. United look out of ideas, although they never really had any to begin with.
Wolves go close to taking the lead again, this time with Arias.
Tchatchoua burns past Shaw on the right-hand side before cutting it back to the Colombian on the edge. He fires at goal but it goes just wide after taking a deflection on the way through.
Yoro comes on to replace Heaven.
17-year-old Mantato comes on to make his debut for Ugarte.
United are still struggling to create here, moving the ball from side to side without finding any openings.
Amorim has very limited options on his bench, especially in terms of attackers.
Strand Larsen replaces Arokodare at striker for the visitors.
Wolves must sense an opportunity to claim their first win of the season.
How did that not go in for Wolves?
Lammens produces a brilliant save to deny Krejci his second of the game from inside the box. Mosquera is alert and follows in, getting to the rebound first. Inside the six-yard box with Lammens on the ground, he has to score, but somehow drags his effort wide of the post.
Wolves come forward and Mane beats multiple players before he is brought down by Shaw.
Tchatchoua waves an imaginary yellow card and is subsequently shown a real one by the referee, with Shaw who probably deserved one, avoiding further punishment.
Chelsea’s match has finished 2-2.
If United are able to find a winner here then they will move into the top four, at least until Liverpool play on New Year’s Day.
A catastrophic mishap for Wolves at the back but they just about get away with it.
Mosquera tries to head back to Sa but does not see that he has come out of his goal. With the ball heading for the bottom corner, the goalkeeper scrambles and swipes it out on the goal-line.
The ball is chipped through for Sesko who is through one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
He should score but heads straight at Sa.
Sa is fortunate as he is almost dispossessed by Ugarte.
The Wolves goalkeeper clears under pressure from the Uruguayan, who gets a touch on it, but it is ultimately cleared to safety.
Arias takes the kick-off for the visitors.
We are back underway in the second half!
United’s goalscorer, Zirkzee, is withdrawn at half-time.
Young Jack Fletcher is sent on.
The first-half comes to an end and some boos can be heard around Old Trafford. United were fortunate to take the lead and have not done nearly enough to create chances against the worst defence in the league.
Wolves have slowly grown into this game and in confidence, and deserve to be level at the break. The visitors will now have renewed belief.
And there is the equaliser for Wolves, courtesy of Krejci.
The visitors take a corner and Zirkzee wins the header at the front-post, but just flicks it on perfectly for Krejci at the back-post. It’s a simple finish for him and he heads Wolves level before the break.
