Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah says he is hopeful of receiving plenty of game time over the busy festive period of fixtures.
The 24-year-old started and scored in Arsenal’s 1-1 Champions League draw with PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday having largely been used off the bench of late.
But with four Premier League games to play over just 15 days in December, Nketiah is optimistic he will receive more opportunity.
“It’s tough, but it is exciting,” Nketiah said when asked about the fixture schedule.
“There is going to be a lot of games, hopefully a lot of minutes to go around. You have just got to be ready.
“It was good to get some minutes and sharpness today. A goal is always good and I am looking forward to the next round of games.
“We prepare well for every game and we are looking forward to the next set.”
Arsenal had already been confirmed as group winners ahead of their clash with PSV meaning Mikel Arteta opted to make several changes to his starting 11.
“For us as players, who maybe haven’t played in the last couple of weeks as much as we would have liked to, it’s a good opportunity for us to show ourselves and get some sharpness,” Nketiah added.
“It was a really important game and a great opportunity for some of us.”
