Live updates from Wembley Stadium as Nottingham Forest face Man City in the second FA Cup semi-final.
Nuno continued: “Today is a sad day, it will be hard. But tomorrow when you wake up and the sadness is gone, you will know that we have big things ahead of us to fight for.
“We always learn from the games- individually, as a team and as a club. Today we learnt as a club that it is possible to achieve what we want to achieve. Very thankful for the way the fans stayed until the end to applaud us, we cannot thank them enough. And we keep going.”
Nuno said: “We started really badly, City started really well and it made everything hard. It took a little time to feel comfortable, to adjust, but after that we did a good game.
“The first half was more difficult, in the second half the momentum changed a little bit. We had a couple of chances that could have made the game a different story.”
The Catalan declared: “Rico is a pocket (player), 8, 10, he moves really well in small spaces. Sometimes when we play not good like this season it’s not necessary.
“But when we play really good and control and top the opponents in the final third, players can move in the small spaces, it’s really important and Rico is one of the best I have ever seen, one of the best. The way he receives, his control, his rhythm, it’s really good. And after that we scored a fantastic goal.”
Guardiola continued: “Seven semi-finals speaks highly about this generation of players. We are really pleased we are there.
“I’ve said many times this season has not been good because what defines that is the Premier League, the consistency, and it has always been that way. This season it could not happen but the most important thing is qualification for the Champions League. We have to be calm now and recover because we have fatigue. But we have five days.”
Pep Guardiola started: “Before I start, on behalf of myself and all of the club, we want to congratulate Liverpool Football Club for the Premier League victory.
“Well deserved, no doubt about that. Fantastic team… hopefully next season we can be better to compete until the end, this season it was not possible. So congratulations Liverpool.”
