Premier League stars are heading into the final stages at AFCON and the Asia Cup. Who’s still got a chance at national glory and when are the finals set for?
Not one country that made the 2021 AFCON quarter-finals repeated that feat in 2024, a testament to the extraordinary action and drama at this year’s tournament.
As for proceedings in the Asia Cup, Australia and South Korea are performing as expected but the heroic stories of Palestine, Tajikistan and Jordan have stood out.

FINAL DATES
Both tournaments are set to conclude on the same weekend, with the Asia Cup preceding AFCON over the 10th and 11th February. There is guaranteed to be a new nation crowned as champions in Ivory Coast after the hosts dumped out the holders, Senegal.
Whilst Qatar are still in contention to retain their Asia Cup crown, but Son and South Korea will be strong favourites to take it from them.
