Antoine Semenyo could make his Premier League debut for Manchester City this weekend against Manchester United.
The Ghanaian has two goals and an assist in two appearances so far.
“It didn’t bother me, honestly.”
“I’ve spoken to Jason an awful lot, Omar as well. The ownership group were in, it was nice to see them and meet them. Taking care of business in some ways. We had a small chat. We were able to share a few things, they wished all the very best.”
“We want to be near the top. But we have to take some small steps toward that and European football would a step toward that.”
“Latest understanding, the deal with Marc is in the final stages. We can’t confirm, but it is not done. The result is Marc doesn’t play tomorrow for us.
“When the players want to move on a deal will happen. It looks like it has happened now.
“Everyone wanted Marc [Guehi] to stay forever. I talked to him, of course, it stays between us. Marc showed it in the summer transfer window, showed it the whole autumn that he was 100% committed to the team and to Crystal Palace.
“I wish him all the best for the rest of his career. He is still at the beginning of his great career. He is a fantastic guy.”
“It’s the best that we could do that and keep it confidential for three months. But now it’s important to have clarity, and we had a very busy schedule so that’s why we didn’t want to talk about it. Steve and I want the best for Crystal Palace.”
“I had a meeting with Steve in October, the international break. We had a very long talk, and I told him I will not sign a new contract. We agreed at the time it was best to keep it between us.”
“His move is at the final stages.”
Guehi will not be in the Palace squad this weekend.
Glasner has announced he will leave Palace at the end of the season.
Manchester City have agreed a deal in principle to sign Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi this month, according to BBC Sport.
“I can’t control what United have done. You know from since day one, the opinion I have for United. I don’t know what happened because I am not there.”
“Without John [Stones], Ruben [Dias], Josko [Gvardiol] we are in a difficult situation for a long, long period.
“Ruben will be back soon. Josko, no. John hopefully we will see.”
“When you have more info of what the opponent manager does you can give more info to the players. When you don’t have any info you can’t give info to the players.”
“If you don’t win, you are sacked. If we don’t win, I would be sacked. We won a lot, that’s why I am sitting here. There is no other secret.
“Another club after last season I would not be here anymore. They are more patient maybe because what we did in the past as well. We had three months that was really poor. The past was really good so that is why I am still here.”
On Gonzalez: “We will see [Nico Gonzalez] this afternoon in training.”
On Marmoush: “When he finishes the game [Egypt’s third-place play-off], he will travel back.”
On the availability of Oscar Bobb and John Stones he says ‘no’ to both.
Guardiola says he has “nothing to say” regarding links to Guehi.
The Guehi news will surely be the hot topic.
Manchester City are advancing on a deal to sign Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi, according to Fabrizio Romano.
“He was an important player for Bournemouth, he scored a lot of goals but they’re always capable of replacing good players.
“You need to find solutions, it’s in the nature you might lose the best players. I’m sure Andoni Iraola will find good solution, he’s a great coach.”
“I experienced it when we had a pre-season in Tokyo how popular Mitoma is.
“We are very pleased that he’s playing for us, he didn’t have an easy first part of the season with injury, but now he’s getting back in shape. He seems to be ready and hopefully will have a better second half of the season.”
“The obvious one is the striker area because we are a bit short there. The club felt it was a really good deal for Kalimuendo to go out.
“We are looking at various options to bring in. That’s the obvious one that jumps off the page.
“You’ve got to be ready for the shifting sands of the market. It’s an unusual market, or a slightly different market, in the January window than it is in the summer.
“We’ve got to be proactive where we can be and reactive if things change. I think the club are well aware of that.
“I’ve had a good meeting from the owner all the way through the structure about what we think we’ve got and what we think we need.
“It’s aligning the right people and getting the deals done, which is often the hardest part – the actual process of getting the deal done and getting the player here.”
“We should go game to game and don’t look too much ahead. In the Premier League this season, anything is possible and you have to see every game as a final.
“We have to go on Monday into this game and it will be a big challenge and a big opportunity for us. This Premier League season is very competitive and unpredictable.”
“First of all, Pascal is a player who makes the players around him better, so I hope Carlos will benefit form that.
“Our thing is definitely that there is more competition, that’s also what Carlos needs to understand. We have more midfielders now.”
Wolves have confirmed Marshall Munetsi has joined Paris FC on loan for the rest of the season.
Munetsi signed for Wolves from Stade Reims in the previous winter transfer window and still has two-and-a-half years on his contract.
