He also says Micky Van de Ven is not yet ready to play a full 90 minutes after returning on Thursday against Elfsborg.
Postecoglou says Romero’s injury recovery is “tricky” and they are taking it slow.
He hopes to have Vicario, Johnson, Udogie, Odobert and Werner back over the next couple of weeks.
Solanke is a week behind them.
“We’re still not sure. We’ll let it settle down and get more information over the weekend. He’s obviously not available for this weekend.
“In terms of others, Djed Spence should be available for the weekend, Sergio Reguilon should be okay.”
“Every time I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel it turns out to be an oncoming train.”
“[Garnacho] is improving under me. He changed right away since that game against [Manchester] City. The way he understands things and understands that I just want to help him. I just want to win games. And he changed in every [aspect].
“The approach when I spoke with him, the way he recovers, he understands that sometimes I’m a different kind of coach and I’m demanding in my own way. It’s always for him but I’m a different person.
“I think all the merit is from Garnacho and he’s improving and we want to continue to improve with him. He understood the position, the moments of playing inside, outside, the connection with players is improving a lot.”
Ruben Amorim says he wants to keep Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho.
“I want players like Kobbie and Garnacho. The focus is that we have to improve our academy and you have to bring more. Because that is something that all the clubs in England have to take advantage of. The players that came from academy. To play, to fill the shirt and also to sell. So our focus is to bring more. The rest I just want to prepare with both of them the next game.”
That’s it from Arteta! More to come on our website shortly.
“He’s been our main striker for a while now and he’s producing some big numbers. His work rate is unbelievable.”
“I don’t take anything personally that happens on the pitch.”
“It doesn’t just depend on us. We have the ambition to help the team and finish the season really strong.”
“That’s the beauty of football.”
“You know I’m not going to talk about any names.
“We are actively looking for a solution in that position.”
Arteta stresses there is no issue between him and Pep after a fiesty last game between Arsenal and Man City. “We know how competitive they are.
“If not, we wouldn’t be talking on the phone and messaging each other!”
“The club is exploring every single opportunity that can have an impact on the team.
“If we can agree something, we will.
“We’re trying everything that we can but I can’t give any reassurance.”
