“We wanted to give Djed every opportunity. We knew there was a player there but it was up to Djed to take it.
“He worked so hard, remained patient. In previous years he might have given up the fight but he kept on going and working hard and that really made an impression on me and his team-mates.”
“No new concerns from last week and the other guys are ticking along well.
“We’ve got two games in quick succession in the league. Good opportunity to get some minutes for players. Hoping Romero and Micky back around [the Europa League first leg] and Dom and Richy not far behind.”
“You can feel it in the environment, we are changing. It’s important to use that in the game.

Three Man Utd players are back for the game against Everton, Ruben Amorim confirms. “This week is better than last week because we didn’t lose players. Christian [Eriksen], Manuel [Ugarte] and Lenny [Yoro] return.”
Chelsea will play FC Copenhagen in the Conference League round of 16.
They will play Molde or Legia Warsaw in the quarter-finals should they progress and then Pafos, Djurgarden, Borac or SK Rapid in the semi-finals.

“We trained with many players in that position. He’s one of them.”

“We might have to use them and they look ready which is good.
“They are ready for it.”
Arteta says he has not spoken to Merino about possibly playing as a striker against West Ham.

“Relax? No!”

“We have to do our job and beat West Ham.
“There’s still 13 games to go and lots to play for.”
Arteta says PSV Eindhoven will be a difficult test in the Champions League. “At this stage every team is really good.”
