Live updates from today’s Premier League manager pre-match press conferences.
“If they continue to play games and not concede goals, it will be almost impossible.
“Always you expect that you can be better and they will drop points. All we can do is win our games and get closer.
“The last two or three years, after the process to rebuild the club and the team, they are there. It is exceptional what they are doing for two or three seasons.
“But it is early November. Nobody wins the title in early November. You can lose it – but nobody wins it.”
Pep Guardiola on Liverpool’s struggles this season: “You have to live it. When you’re in a long period, you have to live this. There is no one manager in one club who did not live this kind of situation.
“In 10 years, we had two or three months that were really bad. November to January or February [last season] was really bad. But the team, the culture of the club? It’s fine. We had a lot of injuries, we didn’t have energy, bad decisions from myself and my staff – it happens.
“What is important is how you come back. Now is not perfect, always you can do better. That’s why we are here and why we’ve had the success we’ve had together.
“Sometimes the results hide the reality of where the team is in that moment.”
Guardiola says he does not think he will “risk it” with Rodri this weekend against Liverpool, following the midfielder’s latest injury setback.
Guardiola jokes the press conferences were the best moments of his 1,000 games in charge: “2,000 press conferences. Those were the best moments! Plus interviews.
“No, when I started, I didn’t expect this. But it is a joy. I didn’t enjoy every single moment but I enjoyed the journey a lot.”
On Kolo Muani, Frank says he “needs sharpness” and that he does not think he is up to full match sharpness yet, despite being completely fit now following injury.
On Solanke’s recovery, Frank says how he progresses over the international break will decide whether he returns for the north London derby on November 23.
Thomas Frank says he is unsure whether Mohammed Kudus will be involved when Spurs take on Man Utd tomorrow.
After three wins from three games in October, Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim and forward Bryan Mbeumo have been named the Premier League Player of the Month and Manager of the Month respectively.
England boss Thomas Tuchel on his decision to leave Myles Lewis-Skelly out of the England squad: “Myles simply needs more starts, more minutes. Now it came a time when Nico O’Reilly had so many starts in that position, so he is slightly ahead for this camp.”
It’s been a busy morning, but we’ve still got Pep Guardiola and Thomas Frank, among several other Premier League managers, to hear from this afternoon.
Here’s what Enzo Maresca had to say earlier on in FULL:
Watch what Mikel Arteta had to say on Gabriel Jesus’ return, his injured players, Granit Xhaka and more:
“I think he’s going to add something extra to the team that we don’t have. And (now) make sure that very soon we see him on that pitch making an impact for the team.”

Asked again about his decision to consistently rotate his team, Maresca says modern football and the schedule demands it.
“You need to rotate,” he said. “This is my personal view.”
Blues boss Maresca says the big difference between this season and the last one is higher expectations around the club, following their Club World Cup win over the summer.
Arteta has stressed that Gabriel Jesus does have a future with Arsenal despite the signings of Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz, pointing out the need for attacking options given their persistent injury problems in that area.
Enzo Maresca says he is unsure of the severity of Lavia’s injury he suffered against Qarabag and that they are still assessing it.
Pedro Neto could return, meanwhile, with the winger set to train ahead of the game against Wolves.
Gabriel Jesus has been back in training following his long recovery from an ACL injury.
Arteta says he does not know when he could be back though.
Arteta is asked if Gyokeres, Havertz, Madueke, Martinelli and Odegaard are all out of the Sunderland game.
Thomas Tuchel has also named his latest England squad this morning, with both Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham back in.

Howe on Wissa’s recovery: “He’s working well. He’s on the grass and he’s building his fitness.
“The knee is feeling good and there’s no problems with that. It’s more a case of looking at his fitness, sharpness, all the things he’s going to need to put together.
“He’s in a good place to kick on and push his body. We need to give him time to get robust enough and be in a position to give his best for the team. I’m sure he’ll be worth the wait.”
Newcastle striker Will Osula is set to be sidelined for a short while, however.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has also been speaking to the media this morning, and provided a positive update on Anthony Gordon.
Slot says Alisson is expected to return for the game against Nottingham Forest after the international break.
“Alisson, for sure.
“I expect Jeremie back after the international break too, because we play November until March!
“But I don’t expect Jeremie to be fully fit for Forest but with Alisson we expect this.”
