Erik ten Hag says Jadon Sancho’s performance in Borussia Dortmund’s 1-0 Champions League semi-final win over PSG proved why Manchester United signed him.

The 24-year-old joined his former club Dortmund on loan for the remainder of the season in January after publicly falling out with United boss ten Hag.

And ten Hag praised the winger for his role in Dortmund’s first-leg victory but admits his future is still unclear.

“Yesterday he showed why Manchester United bought him and he showed he represents a high value for Manchester United, which is good,” ten Hag said.

“I’m happy for Jadon, for the performance yesterday and we’ll see what is going to happen in the future.”

The United boss also revealed that Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford are all doubts to face Crystal Palace on Monday.
