Harry Kane could be set to stay at Spurs next season with Man Utd “increasingly unlikely” to make a move for the striker.
Sky Sports say that Tottenham do not want to sell the striker, especially to a Premier League rival, despite having just a year remaining on his contract and with United extremely interested in the England international.
It means the Red Devils may have to look elsewhere for a striker this summer, with Napoli forward Victor Osimhen among the alternatives if, as expected, they cannot land Kane.
Sky Sports also say the club have made initial contact over a move for 20-year-old Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, with the hope that he will join another new forward arrival at the club. Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani is also among the names being monitored.
United are also expected to make a formal bid for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount soon, with talks currently ongoing.
However, Sky Sports say there is a gap in valuation between the two clubs with United keen not to overpay because the 24-year-old is heading into the final year of his deal.
Brighton & Hove Albion’s Moises Caicedo is also reportedly on the club’s wishlist this summer as Erik ten Hag looks to build on a solid first season in charge, with Chelsea and Arsenal also among those interested.
Elsewhere, Newcastle have moved swiftly to secure the signing of 18-year-old Yankuba Minteh from Danish side Odense Boldklub.
Wilfried Zaha is reportedly attracting interest from French giants PSG, according to the Daily Mail, as is fellow Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise.
Zaha’s contract expires this summer meaning he could leave the club on a free, while Palace are said to be demanding £50m for Olise.
Spurs have approached Brentford to discuss a deal for goalkeeper David Raya, with the Bees demanding £40m for the Spain international.
And Man City are targeting RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol following their Champions League victory on Saturday, though the German side will only accept a record fee for a defender according to Fabrizio Romano.
