WATCH: Man Utd boss ten Hag says Garnacho has apologised over liking critical social media posts

Erik ten Hag says Alejandro Garnacho has apologised to him for liking tweets which questioned the United boss’ decision to take him off at half-time of the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth last Saturday.

The United manager opted to replace Garnacho with Amad Diallo at half-time with United trailing 2-1 in the game.

Garnacho then liked two social media posts on X (formerly Twitter) by YouTuber Mark Goldbridge which criticised both ten Hag’s decision to take him off and for his post-match comments explaining why he made the decision, before swiftly un-liking them.

But ten Hag says they have now moved on from the situation after Garnacho apologised.

“I wouldn’t point to that,” ten Hag said when asked if the issue suggested a lack of harmony in the squad.

“Alejandro is a young player and has to learn a lot. He apologised for it and after, we move on.”
