Mikel Arteta says he would love to build a “dynasty” at Arsenal and believes there is a lot more to come from his young side.
The Gunners sit top of the Premier League table but having played a game more than Manchester City and take on an in-form Bournemouth side on Saturday.
And Arteta says he is confident his team can build on the progress they have already made under his management.
“I would love to do that,” Arteta said when asked about building a dynasty at Arsenal.
“We have a vision, we have an understanding of how we want to do it but then it’s about delivering it.
“The demands here are so big and the expectation is going to be bigger and bigger. Our job and my job is to fulfill them, and find the tools and to communicate in the right way to try to achieve them.
“Certainly, the hope and ambition is to go much further than we are right now.
“We are one of the youngest teams in the Premier League.
“No one asks me about qualifying for the Champions League. Not a single question. Now the only focus is on winning the Premier League.
“Next season, what is it going to be? These are the demands and how we live in this world. It’s about now, what we have done and what else we haven’t done.
“That’s it, and the question is what else we have to do now.”
