Ange Postecoglou is backing his Spurs players to trouble Man City on Tuesday after his side ended a four-game losing streaking by coming from behind to beat Burnley.
Spurs found themselves a goal down through Jacob Bruun Larsen’s 25th minute strike before Pedro Porro and then Micky Van de Ven struck to relegate the Clarets back down to the Championship.
Tottenham now face Manchester City on Tuesday in what will be a crucial game in their title race with Arsenal, who face Manchester United on Sunday.
But Postecoglou has confidence that his team can cause City problems.
“I think we’ve got what it takes to give them a game and see where it takes us,” he said.
“They’re the benchmark, 20-odd points ahead of us. It’s 95 minutes of football at our place and we’re going to give it a crack.”
