Who have Arsenal been linked with signing this summer?

Now that the Premier League season is over, attention has turned towards both the European Championships in Germany and the summer transfer window.

And after losing out in the title race for the second season on the bounce, Arsenal will no doubt be looking to strengthen in key areas this summer as they look to end Man City’s Premier League dominance.

Here are the players they have been linked with signing so far…

Nico Williams

The Athletic Bilbao winger is believed to have a release clause of around £43m and is said to be high in demand this summer with Bayern Munich, Barcelona and PSG also reportedly chasing his signature.

Williams scored eight goals and recorded 17 assists in all competitions last season and Football.London say the Gunners are ready to trigger his release clause and bring the 21-year-old to north London.

Desire Doue

Mail Sport say Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United are all set to do battle for the 18-year-old Rennes wonderkid this summer, with Paris St Germain, Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund also reportedly interested.

The exciting attacking midfielder played 31 times in Ligue 1 last season, scoring four goals and setting up five, and would reportedly cost at least £35m.

Ferdi Kadıoğlu

Football journalist Fabrizio Romano says Fenerbahce’s Kadıoğlu is a transfer target for Arsenal, while Turkish outlet Milliyet are reporting that the versatile 24-year-old, who mainly operates in defence, has agreed a move to the club.

Benjamin Sesko

The in demand RB Leipzig striker is high on Arsenal’s list of targets this summer according to the Evening Standard and is also reportedly being chased by Chelsea and Manchester United.

He is said to have a release clause of £55m and scored 14 goals in 31 Bundesliga games last season.

Justin Bijlow

Mail Sport say Arsenal are in the market for a new number two goalkeeper this summer with Aaron Ramsdale potentially heading for the exit door after losing his starting spot.

And Feyernood’s Bijlow is said to be among those Arsenal are targeting, though Liverpool are also reportedly interested with his former boss Arne Slot taking over at Anfield this summer.

Jeremie Frimpong

One of the stars of Bayer Leverkusen’s title-winning season is attracting interest from a host of clubs, including Arsenal, say Mail Sport. His current contract is rumoured to have a £34m release clause.

Pedro Neto

Another winger on Arsenal’s list, according to the Evening Standard, is Wolves’ Pedro Neto. The 24-year-old struggled with injuries this past season but still managed nine assists in 20 games.

Marc Guehi

According to the Times, the Crystal Palace defender is attracting interest from both Arsenal and Manchester United but would reportedly cost around £55m.

Amadou Onana

The Everton midfielder has been linked with Arsenal in the past and the Evening Standard say he is again being considered by the club as an option in the middle of the park to play alongside Declan Rice.

Xavi Simons

The Telegraph have linked the PSG star, who spent the last season on loan at RB Leipzig where he impressed, with interest from Arsenal. The attacking midfielder scored eight times and recorded 11 assists in 32 Bundesliga games.

Martin Zubimendi

Real Sociedad star Zubimendi is said to have been closely monitored by Arsenal but having expressed his happiness at the club, a move for the 25-year-old this summer could be difficult.

Ousmane Diomande

The Sporting defender is said to be in high demand this summer, with Arsenal one of those considering signing him, according to Sun Sport.

Bruno Guimaraes

The Newcastle United and Brazil midfielder has impressed in his two seasons in the Premier League and has been linked with a whole host of clubs, including Arsenal, but with Newcastle’s ambitions they will no doubt want to keep hold of their star man.

Jorrel Hato

The Evening Standard say the 18-year-old central defender is another on Arsenal’s radar to provide further cover for Gabriel and William Saliba.

Hato made 33 league appearances for Ajax this past season but would likely command a significant fee due to his age and potential.

Alexander Isak

Various reports have linked Arsenal with a move for the Swedish forward but recent reports suggest Newcastle have informed the 24-year-old, who scored 21 Premier League goals in 30 appearances last season, that he is not for sale.

Joshua Zirkzee

The Bologna striker played a key part in his side’s unexpected qualification for the Champions League, scoring 11 goals in 34 Serie A games.

Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany has previously linked the 23-year-old with a move to Arsenal but the Dutchman has recently hinted at staying in Italy for another season at least.

Brian Brobbey

The Independent say Brobbey is among the top striker targets for Arsenal this summer, having scored 22 goals in 43 games in all competitions for Ajax this past season.

In an interview with NOS Jeugdjournaal, Brobbey also recently said that a move to the Gunners would be his preference were he to leave Ajax.

Victor Gyokeres

Aside from Brobbey and Isak, Sporting striker Gyokeres is another on Arsenal’s list, the Independent say. After moving to Portugal from Coventry City last summer, he scored 29 goals in 33 league games.
