‘You are killing me!’ – Sadio Mane snubs German media with Bayern future in doubt

Sadio Mane was captured telling German reporters “you are killing me” after the Bayern Munich forward snubbed their interview requests in a bizarre incident at the club’s training ground.

The Senegalese international has endured a difficult time in Munich after making the switch from Liverpool last summer and his relations with the German media are at boiling point.

Mane was recently voted as the Bundesliga’s most disappointing player last season (an award voted for by fellow players).

He was also suspended by the German giants in April after reportedly punching team-mate Leroy Sane in the mouth following their Champions League defeat to Man City.

And his frustrations were evident as the 31-year-old walked past reporters who were waiting for an interview, only to be told: “You are killing me every day and now you want me to talk to you guys?”

Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel recently said that Mane has “fell short of expectations”, adding: “The competitive situation is extremely high, the starting position is not easy for him.

“The player knows that too, he knows my opinion and the opinion of the club.”

Al Nassr have reportedly tabled a £34m bid for Mane as they look to take advantage of the uncertainty around his future, and would link up with former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo if he does make the move to Al Nassr.
