“Of course, of course, very confident, very confident.
“I’m frustrated, but very confident because if we keep this mentality, if we keep this ambition, and the organisation, we’ll get points for sure.”
“I’m frustrated. Frustrated inside. Angry with football.
“But you know, it’s time to keep the mentality to come back stronger and with confidence to face the future because, the first half we played in the way that we played in Istanbul, but we didn’t score the goals.
“We didn’t score the chances that we created. We created, I think, two good chances to score, but we didn’t.”
“We don’t think it’s very serious but he felt his back too much in the warm up to start.
“He wasn’t able to be at 100% or close to 100% and I think after being in this league for six, seven or eight months, he understands that no matter how good you are on the ball, you need to be at 100% at this level.
“So we decided not to play him but I hope and expect that he will be able to be with us again next week, but you never know.”
“He has incredible potential, otherwise at 17 years of age you don’t play as many minutes as he does in the Premier League, let alone at Liverpool.
“That tells you how much of a talent he is and we think he is. He’s making progress more and more and that’s why you maybe see him playing more and more as well. He’s getting stronger.”
“We needed this goal, we needed that win, to be on the right side of things for once in a while because we’ve been so unlucky this season.
“Today, for the first time this year, it felt like we were a bit lucky.”
“I think what he did is what he showed in the last six, seven or eight games.
“A run of games where he’s getting back to his usual level that he showed so many times last season.”
“Emotions of happiness and relief.
“This is probably the first time I have to do a different post-match press conference than I did for all the other games because today we did not play a good game. The performance, especially in the first half, was not as good as we’ve had so many times this season.
“But we’ve been on the wrong side of the score after a good performance far too many times and today I think we got more than we deserved. A draw would have been a fair result.”
Nottingham Forest boss Vitor Pereira: “That is football. Not fair a lot of times. We played the first half in a fantastic way, creating problems and we deserved to score.”
Liverpool boss Arne Slot after his side’s narrow win: “In the first half, the only part I liked was the defending in our box. We showed a different Liverpool in the second half.”
Alexis Mac Allister after his late winner: “Mixed feelings to be honest. I love scoring, I love winning. But I don’t think we played very well. It’s always nice when you win.
“We need to analyse what we did well and what went wrong. The intensity wasn’t there but we did what we did to win.”
We will have reactions from both Arne Slot and Vitor Pereira coming up shortly.
Alexis Mac Allister has his reward, but Vitor Pereira has a right to be fuming.
An agonisingly late goal means Forest walk away with no points in what could have huge consequences for the relegation battle.
Stay tuned for both managers’ reactions.
Despite it looking offside on replays, it seems van Dijk and Ekitike are on by a fringe and Liverpool are set to secure all three points.
What an ending this has been!
We wait…
Will it count?
Mac Allister has the ball in the back of the net once again for Liverpool!
Sangare has just tried his luck from range and it flashes just wide once again.
The atmosphere is electric in here!
In the midst of all this, James McAtee is on for Gibbs-White.
The goal is chalked off as the ball is adjudged to have come off Mac Allister’s elbow.
Still all to play for and the Forest fans are up for this!
There is a momentary pause as VAR checks if Alexis Mac Allister has used his hand on the rebound!
IT’S A GOAL IN THE DYING STAGES FOR LIVERPOOL!
Rio Ngumoha tees up a cross for Hugo Ekitike, and his header is saved excellently by Stefan Ortega.
Aina then attempts to clear his lines, but it rebounds off Alexis Mac Allister and into the back of the net.
It is pandemonium in the away end!
A large round of applause for Neco Williams – who is announced on the tannoy as Player of the Match.
The full-back has done an excellent job up against Mohamed Salah and now Rio Ngumoha on the left-hand side.
The intensity has dropped.
It comes as no surprise, given Forest played on Thursday in Turkey.
In saying that, Sangare has just seen his shot flash wide of the post.
The fans are still on their feet here in anticipation of a last-minute winner.
Curtis Jones and Milos Kerkez are off.
Expect that to be a straight swap.
Is this a signal?
Joe Gomez and Andy Robertson are preparing to come on for Liverpool.
