WATCH: Klopp on Liverpool being ready for difficult Man United tie

Jurgen Klopp believes Manchester United are a top side and that Liverpool need to be ready for everything as they continue their quadruple hunt.

The Reds travel to Old Trafford to face a resurgent United side, with a place in the FA Cup semi-final up for grabs for the winner.

Manchester United are starting to find their way this season after eight wins from their last eleven matches, with the sides having played out a goalless draw in their previous encounter.

Liverpool boss anticipates a difficult game once again against their most famous rivals:

“United have had a full week to prepare. Ten Hag knows how to play so he will lineup some challenges but we have to ready anyway. As much as it’s possible, I enjoy [these games].

“I don’t know much about their season but I saw some good games, a lot of quality and injury problems. Maybe Hjolund is available again? Wan-Bissaka is close.

“That obviously makes a difference, we will see on Sunday. It was always a tough place to go, it means everything to both fan groups, we know that.

“We try to show that on the pitch with the work rate but we never know. No guarantees, just opportunities, we will give it a try.

“I don’t know if we’ll play the same game [as December’s draw]. We really reached the next level in the season [after that].

“Before that it was difficult to judge us, we had a lot to overcome; red cards, being 1-0 and then that game [v United] I saw us in the next gear. The result didn’t show that. It’s a home game for them but a lot of aspects in our game that were good and we try to bring them on the pitch again.”
