Arsenal said to be targeting Onana but miss out on youngster – transfer window round-up

Arsenal are in talks over a move for Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

Tavolieri says Onana is keen on the move and that”intensive” talks are currently ongoing between the two clubs.

Chelsea youngster Ian Maatsen is set to sign a new deal with the club before joining Borussia Dortmund on loan, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The two-year extension will also include a release clause, Romano says, and the 21-year-old will fly to Dortmund tonight before having a medical tomorrow.

Sky Sports News say Tottenham are close to an agreement with Genoa for defender Radu Dragusin.

According to Sky In Italy, talks are in the advanced stages with Spurs having made an offer of an initial £21.5m (€25m) plus an extra €5m (£4.3m) in bonuses, but Bayern Munich also remain keen on signing the Romanian.

And finally, Arsenal have missed out on signing 16-year-old Dino Klapija after he opted to join RB Leipzig.

The Daily Mail say Arsenal were in the race for the forward, who plays for NK Kustosija in Croatia and can represent either Croatia or USA at international level, but he and his family instead opted for the Bundesliga club because they believe there is a clearer path to the first team.

Manchester United were also interested in the youngster, the Mail say, before his £4.8m to Germany.
